Book Binding (for beginners)

Quick grab shots to show stages used to self learn how to create my own hand bound book.

I am using plain paper, cheap card, some cloth and pva glue.

You can see my first attempt to make a case was fairly rough.  A big learning experience.  First exposure for calculating some of the critical dimensions involved.  For signatures, I folded A4 office paper and hand stitched.  Easy for 80 gm paper, can see challenges for heavier stock in terms of punching correct diameter holes. Easy to hand stitch. I then made a second effort to make a cover. More care given to the dimensions required, folding the corners and placement of the "End Paper". Finally, I combined all the tasks in a sequence to make my first hand bound notebook.
